I know it's a little different, but I think it looks and sounds beautiful. It's pronounced Cuv-nee. What do you think? Be honest please :)

I really like how it's pronounced but not the spelling. I think it sounds really nice, a pretty name & very original but it does not sound like it's spelled.

Think of her sitting in school, on the first day of a new class, and the other kids snickering at the teacher trying to pronounce it...then name her something else!!

In the abstract, I can see how you would like it. In reality, my name isn't quite that unique and I've spent my whole life explaining the pronunciation and the spelling, and had to listen to why people didn't like it. Now I know that's irrelevant but it gets tiresome. People will also ask you and the child what the name means.

I don't like it, it's too different and different without reason.

I don't think I care for that. But it's your baby. Just always keep in mind that this child has to live with whatever name you choose. Think about when they go to school and all. Naming a child really takes some thought....

Covenea as in David Du-covenea?

I think the spelling is VERY confusing. I had NO idea how to say it. Maybe Coveny or Covnea...that e after the v is what threw me off.

as a teacher, I can speak of how extremely unusual names can be detrimental to students fitting in... I am not a supporter of the common name though either... my own children have unique names but they are names likely 90% of you have heard before.
Does this name have specific meaning or sentiment to you? If not, please reconsider....

I think it is...well...awful. Can you imagine that child having to pronounce and re-pronounce as well as spell it for perfect strangers?

I don't care for it. The pronunciation doesn't seem to match the spelling at all.*

Well if you don't mind people always pronouncing her name wrong, spelling it wrong. and it's just not very pretty.
