I'd go for it if a woman could have more than one husband. Now that would be cool.

Speaking as a woman... polygamy strikes me as one of those things that could work out well in theory, but almost never does in long-term practice. Too many people are emotionally wired for monogamy, and at least one person in the situation is bound to feel neglected since attention is divided that much more.

The competitive aspects can foul things up royally, as well. Most people have trouble handling ONE relationship at a time!

Bring kids into the equation and you have a real potential for emotional messiness.

polygamy? well in arab and muslim society, they are allowed...this polygamy concept is actually started due to the war in arabian countries last time, leaving lots of widows behind. Due to mercy and pity, some guys marry more of these women to take care of them so that they can be taken care of. However, now that war has stopped, this practice continue...for what reason? i dun understand as well.

what is my view on it? i am no in favour with it of course. Why would u want to practice polygamy if you love ur other half. Try to be polygamized by ur love, see what and how u feel

I think polygomy is wrong, but however, a male friend of mine has a wife and a girlfriend and they both know about each other. They live in the same house together. However, there sleeping arrangements I wouldn't know, and don't care to know.
