Being in denial. Most of my family including my wife knew that I was bipolar long before I did and sought out treatment. I had gone earlier it would have made life much easier for about 2 years.

A better question would be: What is right about me? What do i excel at? Find the answer, multiple the result, continue the progress, add hobbies, self-sacrifice (doing something which does not have immediate benefit, such as, mowing your neighbors lawn) visit a new restaurant, buy a new bike, jog 5 miles instead of 4 miles a day, then you'll find out all you need to know about yourself. Good luck and be well.

Being in denial is worse. if you know you're a screw up then you know you are. that's the end of it. but if you're in denial... there'd be a lot of bitching around and of course a lot of denials and all that. and you'll never get to move on since you ARE in denial. so you keep being stuck in a state of mind where you can't progress much.
at least when you admit you're a screw up, you'd find ways to help yourself, "and be on the road to recovery!" lol.

being in denial because if your screwed up, and in denial u dont think anything is wrong, but if your screwed up, and know you are, at least u will go and get yourself help.
