One of my Son's is ambidextrous...... He's fascinating to watch, doing anything. Could you imagine writing with your left hand, 'till it got tired, then just swapping over, to your right ????? He's the same, when kicking a ball.

Actually I am right handed but my left leg is stronger, more flexible and I use it more often. I know I am left legged from my dancing as well. I clearly dance better on my left leg.
It is also possible to have an eye you are more inclined to use (as in the eye you will usually put to a telescope or other object.) Same with your ears (there is usually one you would rather lean to a wall to listen to someone.)
For example I am right handed, left legged, right eyed, and right eared. It is actually more likely to find someone who is mixed than it is to find some who is completely right sided or left sided.

It's the most common form of cross laterality. Most left handed people have either a right leg/ear/eye, etc. Laterality is not digital (just left or right) the brain uses percentages of each side.

I think its not very common for people to be right handed but use the other leg more often. but some people are like that. like for example im right handed, but when im doing gymnastics i usually hurdle into my tumbling pass with my left leg. so i guess it all just depends. = )

My brother throws a ball with his left, but writes and draws (he's a great artist) with his right.
And as a soccer player his right foot was his power foot, but his left foot was more accurate. (I say "was" because a knee injury prevents him from playing soccer any more.)
So he is the most cross-lateral person I know.

I am right handed, but when I swim, my left side seems to lead. And anything that has a buckle, (belt, shoe, purse) gets the left hand.

I am!! I'm not much into sports, but when I was younger I played soccer and I hit (and aimed) much better with my left leg. I'm right handed.
It's good to know I'm not alone, thanks for the question! :-D
