I left my home country, family, friends and college because I was in love. I came to US to live with my boyfriend 2 years ago. When i went to visit my family 6months ago he cheated on me. I didn't know, so i came back to the States. After 1 month of being here, he left his inbox open on the computer and I read his emails. He cheated on me with someone from work. I asked him if he was faithful to me and he always said yes. I gave him severan oportunities for him to tell me, he didn't. All our conversations ended up with him saying "you don't have proof". Finally, after two months I told him about his email and he confessed.
I'm so confused. During one of our fights I thought I was going crazy, I thought I read something that didn't exist. He was THE perfect liar.
Now I'm alone, 6000 miles from home and friends and I don't know what to do. I love him, but what about trust. Is there a way of fixing it or our relationship is lost?

Do you "have to" leave him? No. Should you? Yes, probably. If you are willing to forgive him and allow him to work to restore the trust that he has betrayed, then that is something you'll have to decide, and he would have to commit to doing. If he's not willing to make the commitment to rebuilding the trust, then don't waste your time on him.

Unfortunatly I think that your relationship is lost. If he would of confessed to you right away the first or second time you asked there would be hope. But if kept denying it for so long until you told him about the emails, who knows what else he lied about. Your situation is horrible and I'm sorry but it really isnt going to work out for you because he just might keep lying. You cant have a relationship if there is no truth or trust.

Go home..he is a jerk and isn't worth it. Go back to school, don't waste anymore time on him. If you stay you will continue to go through this for as long as you stay. He isn't trustworthy and he's proven it. You already know the truth about what kind of person he is and he probably won't change. He will continue to be the perfect liar and you will NEVER know if he is telling you the truth. GET OUT NOW!!!!

You will never be able to trust him again and once a cheat always a cheat. Go back home to your family and friends and chalk it up to experience. You'll meet someone who is worth your while.

Its lost. He lied right to your face and made you think you were crazy. You need to pack your bags and go back home. You deserve better after having moved 6000 miles for someone.
