There is a metaphysical phenomenon that has a name in German, it involves "hearing" a loved one arrive home before the actual arrival. I have experienced this multiple times, but I can't remember what it is called.

I don't know about the German, but I'd call it "precognition" - knowing something before you learn it / it comes into reality for you.

It could also be a psychic.
