There must be a food source close by or they wouldn't have set up shop in your yard. The most common source is pet food left outside. If you have several outside dogs, and leave food in their dishes all of the time, you will eventually attract rats. If this is the case, get rid of the food, and you will get rid of the rats. Feed the dogs only the amount they can eat at one time.

If pets are not the problem, you need to hire the services of a professional exterminator.

Good luck with your problem.

There are these rat pills that get placed inside and outside your house, they really work. I wish I could tell you the name of them but I dont remember, try the phonebook

If you have an exterminator, why not let them take care of the problem?

Otherwise, I would question their food source, eliminate it and they will leave!

They probably already live in your house. I would get a pest control out there to get rid of them.
