Based on skill it could easily be all English, the only exception being Ryan Giggs (perhaps he would actually bother to play for GB).
In practice a UK manager would be politically forced to pick at least one player from each home nation.

I think a UK team would benefit from Bellamy, Earnshaw or Hartson; but there are very few midfield or defenders who would merit a place outside of the current English players. In Robinson I think England have the best goalie in the UK.
Dooyoo has an extensive discussion about it, the link is below.

Most of the squad would of coarse be English because they have more players to choose from, but that doesn't mean there aren't in the UK (excluding England ) enough quality playes to make up a GB team. This is an example of a GB team without any English players.
GK - Gordon (Scotland)
LB - Gabbidon (Wales)
CB - Pressley (Scotland)
CB - Anderson (Scotland)
RB - Hughes (N.Ireland)
LM - Giggs (Wales)
CM - McFadden (Scotland)
CM - Fletcher (Scotland)
RM - Davies (Wales)
ST - Bellamy (Wales)
ST - Earnshaw (Wales)
Subs. Hartson (Wales), Hartley (Scotland), Davis (N.Ireland), Quashie (Scotland)
This team would beat a lot of the top sides and that's without any English players. If you add Rooney, Gerrard, Lampard, Carrighar and Gary Neville to that team then that is a team that would stand a great chance of winning a major tournament.

With England's current lack of depth up front Craig Bellemy would be a godsend. Ryan Giggs could have walked into the into the England squad anytime in the past decade. Unfortunatly don't think there would presently be many Scots that would make it but I don't think people south of the border realise how good a goalie Craig Gordon is. He's world class and think he would be first choice over Robinson.

Probably mostly English and rightly so but it's not happening.
It would close the door forever on separate UK teams and clubs in Europe would be severely limited.
In Scotland at least this is a no-no.
