I just changed the fuel filter thinking that this might resolve the problem, but it happend again. I have not changed the spark plugs in about a year. someone told me the distributor might be bad happens to alot of Hondas. Please help!!!!!

My '05 Civic Hybrid does this but it's designed to do so to prevent gas-wasting idling. Sorry this isn't a helpful answer. It may be the computer that's in the engine - I think the dealer would be the best place to have it checked - likely they've seen it before. It may cost more to see the dealer but it would be fixed without guessing. I feel a bit bad having answered this just to crow about my Hybrid. Good Luck!!

Check the alternator, it make not be delivering enough electrical charge to the battery and engine.

Also change the fuel pump, plugs and leads.

If it still fails, then it's time to take it to the shop for the pros to look at.

just try running some fuel injector cleaner through the gas, and if that dosent work, ur prolly gonna have to get a new distributer. dont let off the gas at stop lights, lol.

Well, do a complete tune-up, including plugs, wires, rotor and cap, and air filter.
