Are bb guns a good deterrent for raccoons. I have a raccons that come in the middle of the night climbing the siding on the house trying to reach the roof. My Neighbor had a den living in his attic and they try to get there by climbing my roof.

A high powered pellet rifle at close range can kill or cripple a racoon. The shot must be perfectly placed to kill it so it is much more likely that you will just injure it. Best bet is to have a licensed "critter trapper" remove the raccoons for you. Check with your city or town. Sometimes they offer these services for free.

If you can't have the animal control people remove them, then I would say it should work. Just remember that a BB gun won't kill them, but it might annoy them enough to just move away.

A powerful pellet rifle worked for me. Not sure that a BB would have enough penetration to kill it, my guess is that a BB would just piss it off.

Let me shot you with a BB gun and see if you like it!!! Call animal control, dont be a jerk and shot a little animal. This is their planet too you know.
