Well, it charges just like the GameBoy Advance SP
The battery that DS runs on is 3.7 volt Li-ion battery.
I heard that Ipod battery is too expensive to be able to be removed.
The DS battery isn't as valuable.
If the battery on the DS stops working and expires (After using about 500 charges) You can buy a replacement on the Nintendo website for 15 American dollars

you charge it. the Ninendo DS Lite has an AC Adapter plug. The new AC Adpapter will not work on the first Nintendo DS or the GBA SP.
