You can apply it to damp grass, tho it does work better when the grass is dry. Mix the roundup according to instructions... I use the gallon jug with the spray handle attached, myself.

The one thing you do NOT want to do, is spray it just before it rains.... it needs a couple of hours, at least, to get into the plants system, before it gets wet, otherwise, it will wash off.

If youve applied it correctly, then you will notice a definite 'browning' of the grass/weeds in 24 hours, and they will be almost totally dry and dead within 48 hours.

I use this product to keep the grass dead around my out buidlings (less weedeating, lol) and out of my gravel driveways.

One safety note.... if your jug leaks, wear some rubber/vinyl gloves..... one exposure won't hurt most folks, but repeated exposure could be a problem, over a long period of time. Give it a couple of hours to dry, before turning any pets loose, in a treated area. (or kids, lol)

Have Fun!

The stuff we use here is farm grade. Comes in 50 gallon drums but a gallon mixed with about (just a close guess) 500 gallons of water is what we use in the fields. So when I mix it for weeds in the yard I probably use a quart for a 2 gallon sprayer. Extremely strong stuff. I have killed a shrub with it. Anyway, dad doesn't spray the fields when it is wet. He does if it is just morning dew because it evaporates so quick here. If it rains shortly after you use it it will still work but it will spread the round up out and kill a lot. It's like it runs into the yard where I don't want it to.

It will take longer and may take more applications. It works by getting soaked into the leaves, so if they're wet, they'll not soak as much or the water will dilute the Roundup. It's best to do dry, preferably when the sun is at it's peak or a little later.
