I dreamt of a young man cross though my kitchen.. all I saw was his back, never his face. I felt safe, and loved... until I woke up. It was four years later, I was sitting in my apartment, talking with my boyfriend, and he got up to go to the washroom, .. crossing though the kitchen. I had incredible deja vu.. and then it hit me... it was my dream. I saw his back as he walked from me. We've been together for almost ten years now. We met when we were nineteen. After which I've never doubted the spiritual, that all things are... for a reason.

Kind of, but probably not to the same intensity as yours impacted you.
I had a dream where I saw my grandfather and I made it part of my story I was/am working on (and currently rewriting).
I've also started a book where I plan to only use ideas that come from dreams.
I also have a lot of rabbits and over the years I've had dreams of finding them dead or finding that I had forgotten about them and in my dream they would be 'dead' but they'd still be moving around and such.
I've never had a dream where the 'dead' animal didn't move around or come back to life.
I've always kinda wondered what that meant.
Here is my 'chapter' I based off my dream if interested:
I walked leisurely across the brick path and into the pastel garden. A feeling of contentment and mystery satisfied my mind and mystified my heart. A dream it was, or a sort of look into a different reality, not another world. It was another part of the same world. Looking around I felt like I was peaking into a hole exposing another universe. Stillness lingered everlasting in the pastel flowers and vines. Shadows did not exist here, for the light was in the spirit or soul of its residents and itself the same. A golden glow illuminated the path which I walked upon, while not hindering the natural radiance of its surroundings.
Had I completely lost the other reality which I had come from? The long straight paths were familiar, yet I had never seen them in my life unless it was from a dream which I had long forgotten. From around the bend came an elderly man with thinning hair and peaceful smile. He looked up at me, loving me, understanding me, showing me what meant the most to me.
My eyes had been closed before I fell into this sleep, but now they were opening.

Some of my dreams I tell to a writer of television plays, because they are absurd and full of strange twists. I love those dreams!
I once had a series of dreams when I was a teenager, all about being jailed, caught up in a situation I didn't want, held back by someone, chained to a huge tree, pursued by angry people who wanted to controll my actions.
Dreadful! So guess what? I travel, I wander, I refuse to settle down, I can be happy anywhere as long as I am there by choice.
But even before I had these dreams it was pretty obvious that I was heading in that direction anyway.

Many. Actually, they're nightmares.
1. When I was a child, I had a dream where I went to the bathroom, and a stickman broke open the door and kidnapped me. For a few years after that, I had my mother wait outside the bathroom door in fear that the event would actually occur.
2. Recently, I had a dream where me and a few family members had a picnic in our front yard (strange, I know). An old rival of mine came up and said, "I wish it would rain." Before you know it, little black dots appeared in the sky. I thought it was rain, but soon they hit the ground around us and our house. They were asteroids (very small ones, but since they had fallen a great distance, it seemed like artillery). We had no cover, but when it was over, none of us were harmed, and our house was fine.

I have. Several. Now, don't think this a flip comment but, whenever I have a dream like that I say; I don't put stock in digital and I like my own ideas just fine. Even if they're not ' bankable '. Others might know what I'm talking about. As far as writing, like any art ... you really have to dig deep.
