it depends whether you desire things that you truely dont need. I Just desire the simple things in life and i have no problems with misery.

Maybe what made you so miserable is what you had ambition and desire for. I'm glad you feel at peace now. But next time you dream up a mission be sure it's going to make you happy in the long run.

Do you really want peace and no purpose for actions?
There are many things that are disturbing to me that I am excited by and love the feeling of, even though it pains me when they aren't around. I like wanting things and thinking.. exploring. I know you can't find peace in some things that you have strong feelings for.
Is meeting your desires and chasing your desires less fulfilling than simply not having any at all?
Life is full of pain, and without it, we wouldn't get to feel those wonderful highs in life.

Peace is not something tangible to look for on the exterior of yourself. Peace and distress are states of mind, and so their main causes cannot be found outside the mind. The real source of happiness is inner peace. If our mind is peaceful, we shall be happy all the time, regardless of external conditions, but if it is disturbed or troubled in any way, we shall never be happy, no matter how good our external conditions may be. Peace is not that sense of being content. That sense or feeling is the mere surface of what Peace actually is with in us.

If that's all you had going for you. Aspiration and fullfillment are something quite else again. Life? Peaceful? Peace is abiding in the soul. It's either there or not. It's according to how you live and think.

there is no greater misfortune than desire
suffering itself can be gotten rid of if you don't resist and allow it to simply evaporate
