Now a door would not be a door if it was a jar.

you forgot a space in between a and jar.

anyway, a door is still a door even if its ajar, half way opened or totally closed.

yeah its true, the door is no longer serving its purpose, its not keeping people out or the elements, so it cant really be a door any more
