I read most of the comments that was left on my question about being 18 and pregnant by a guy that I only knew a month. He's 24 years old and already has a son. He's a good father, a very good one. For all of you that said I needed to have an abortion, that will never ever happen. I would rather raise my baby alone. We both decided that we wanted this baby, and in my opinion, if he decides we can't work out, I have no doubt in my mind that he will take care of his child. Maybe we did rush things a little, but it's done with, and we can't take it back. Maybe he is just dealing with a lot of things right now. What we did was not stupid. It's not like we're without jobs and depending on tax payers to take care of our child. Gilbert works everyday and I know without a doubt he has no problem taking care of his child. Sometimes I think he doesn't want the baby, but that's only when I get pissed off. Hello, my hormones are jumping all over the place. But thanks for the comments.

Don't look at your pregnancy as a bad thing. This is a blessing and you should really be grateful for it. I was 18 when I got pregnant with my daughter and her father was not sure if he wanted a baby at the time too, I wasn't sure neither. My daughter will be three years old this year and me and her father are getting married. He could be scared taking care of a baby is a huge responsibility and I am sure that he knows that, but if you are ready for the responsibility of taking care of a child I say more power to you and Congratulations. Good Luck

Hello. I was preg at 18 with my first child. When I told her father he ditched me and didn't talk to me again until my daughter was 6 months old. But you know what? I never ran behind him. I did have to rely on the public aid system to help me raise my child, which didn't feel too good but she got taken care of by any means necessary. Dont abort your child. You and only you know what is best for you and your baby. If he stays to help. Fine. Then if he does leave you alone, the hell with him. You shouldn't want your child to be around someone that doesn't want him/her. That is your child before it's anyone elses. Raise your baby and please don't worry about if he is going to help or not. Thats not your prob. The courts can take care of that for you. Take care hon. ;)

Go you! Stand up for yourself. You go raise your child with or without your man. I have plenty of friends who are single parents. And they are making it just fine.

Bless you for not killing your child.

You might also check with your local Catholic Church, many have lots of good resources for women in your situation. It happens, they will NOT judge you!

Let them help.

Peace!
