Like the character from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" Anya was a cool chick that brought comic relief in times of sorrow and whatnot. Its a very nice name and I like it.

I think it sounds beautiful..I just for some reason don't like the spelling. How about Ana (pronounced On-uh)?

Or you could spell Ania like one of these:

Anya
Onea
Aneah

ania sounds like A Knee Ah. She will be teased to death by the boys . I wanna be on ya, whos oh ya etc.

I like it, but think it would be better spelled Anya, otherwise people will have trouble pronouncing it.

It's cute but the spelling is very confusing. "I" doesn't make a "Y" sound. You should spell it Anya or if you're hispanic put the little squiggle over the N and make it Ana.

i knew a very nice anya (pronounced the same way). The way you have it spelled looks like people might say it " annie-ah"

Is that a Russian pronounciation? It's a beautiful name it is of Polish or Slavic origin and it means grace.

I think it's pretty but.....it will always be mispronounced and there's a chance she could be teased. Kids could say all kinds of things are "on you"
