I had a very hard time fighting the urge to think "redneck"
every time I heard a male southern accessent until I heard
Senator Sam Irvin (R, TX, RIP) during the Watergate
hearings.
He may have talked slowly, but he was mercilessly mesmerizingly
brilliant. Southern charm, with a fast mind behind it is amazing
to watch. Just amazing.
I've grown up around Brooklyners all of my life - some are
slow enough to make rocks look bright, and others, accent and
all, are absulootlee fuuuggin brill-yant.

Accents from different parts of the country are not 'dumb'!! People have different accents from state to state. People in Brooklyn talk different than upstate NYer's. People in the Southwest like TX talk different than people in Kansas. You can find people on the coast of SC who talk different than those in the middle of SC. Virginian's have an accent found no where else. YOU most likely have an accent to MOST other people in the USA!!
You shouldn't use "most with "dumbest", it's redundant. It's like saying "more better", not right.

Well - no offense to you, but when you are comparing two subjects, it should be: who sounds more dumb (three or more subjects would be: who sounds the most dumb), otherwise it should be: who sounds the dumbest? You should insert a comma between dumb (or dumbest) and people. Finally, "ment" is spelled "meant". O.K., now what was that question?

im from the south, i have a deep southern accent. i do not consider myself dumb. i have lived in staten island when i was very young. what i seen. is that the puerto ricans just talked way to damn fast.
