How do I look forward to working. I work at a movie theater, and I LOVE movies, but I just can't seem to stop hoping that it is over. I look at the other people working and they don't seem to be dreading things as much as I am. Is something wrong with me or do I just need to get into a different mindset. Advice appreciated...

It's only a part-time job and I can't find much of a better job for now as long as I am in college and only willing to work 25-30 hours a week.

It's also the third job I have had in my life, and I hated my first job, but my second was at a different movie theater in high school, but it wasn't that bad. I just can't get in the mood to actually "go," and I end up driving there in a bad mood.

Your first job is the hardest.

The midset you need to grab onto is perspective.

We are totally blessed to Live in a place where you can even get a job to earn money to buy the things you want and need, during your education.

Someplaces in the world no matter how hard you work, there is not enough food available to feed your children and you have to hear them cry at night because their belly's are empty until you give them up to an orphanage out of mercy. Where they will do little better.

Some places you have to bribe people just to get a job digging ditches in the 100 degree heat, then pay kick backs to the crew boss.

Some places families send their daughters off thinking they will find "good" work in the cities, instead their are sold into sexual slavery and die of AIDS.

Even Civilized coutries, like in Germany have such "great" maternity leave policies, that most companies can't offord to pay what the Law says is required. So if you are a woman of child bearing years you just cant get hired. Progressive huh?

I'm not saying you have to love your job, just know it could be alot worse.

Don't work at a job you hate. I did that for years, and it was the biggest mistake of my life. Maybe you won't always WANT to go to work, but if you are dreading it, it isn't the job for you. Go work somewhere else.
