I will be marrying a guy who got his citizenship from his ex wife .Now someone was telling me that he is not eligible to sponsor me for the next 10 yrs or so .I want to know about the rules of immigration in this case .

The guy went there on H1 given by the firm where he worked for one year .Then he got married and divorced after 4 yrs of marriage with US citizen .He is master in computer sciences and doing job in a wireless company .Am a doctor have completed american board exams will be applying for job in 2007 .Am at present in Pakistan will be applying for J1 visa this year will hopefully get it .I want to know ho will this citizenship thing will settle in my case .

If you are not legal , than go home !!! I have heard it is 15 years

Surely once he's a citizen, he's a citizen - with full citizenship rights, including of marriage. You should also tell us which country you're in as there may be different rules.

a guy can sponcer his wife is he is citizen of that country.
