Whatever you do, DO NOT NAG! It only makes guys want to help less when they are nagged...I've learned this the hard way. Women have more power over their men then they realize. We just need to learn to use it the right way. Guys want to please their women, but we have to be able to let them know what would make us happy. And nagging is not letting them know what we want...what guys hear when we nag is that they are not good enough and they can't do anything right, so they think "why bother?" Try asking nicely, and telling him how much it would mean to you to have him help with household chores, then leave him alone. If he is not helping after that, try something like suggesting you would like to have a nice romantic evening, but the house is dirty, so it has to be cleaned before anything else. And maybe it would help if you could work out something where each of you has your list of chores that you do. Like with me and my husband he is in charge of taking out the trash and keeping the garage clean, and othe kind of things like that. I do most of the rest of the chores because I am a stay at home wife, so I can do most of it while he is at work. Just figure out what works best for you.

Compromise, tell him u should take turns in doing it. If he's not working, leave a note/list of things u want him to do... at the bottom of the note write this: It's really good to have a man around the house!

Ask nicely. Manners never hurt anyone and he isn't a mind reader. Besides... I think guys will (in general) try and get away with a much as they can, so if you don't ask, you probably won't get.
If you ask and he still doesn't do anything and expects you to do everything, then I'd seriously start asking what he actually wants from the relationship.

have him move out if he can't help . it takes two . and if he's not helping you now and he's a boyfriend , well forget about any kind of help if you two would happen to get married . he's probably one of the neanderthals who think that house work is for women only . get rid of the problem now

My hubby is the same, you will have a long difficult job, ive been trying for 5 years now, but I have got him to take his dirty washing down to the machine by just not taking it down myself and then he realised that nothing of his was getting washed, so in the end he had to or he had no clothes to wear.
Happy house training!!!!!!!

Make a rota of jobs that need to be done. Do yours and yours alone. Include things for him that will make an impact on him if they don't get done (such as his own washing or his food in the evening) and don't give in. Why should you be his cleaner?

It takes a while to train these little puppies, I normally beat mine up at least once a month, but do it with LOVE in your eyes!

Tell him, no clean house, no fun in bed later. I'm sure he'll hop right to it.
