im trying to do a backflip but i kinda chicken out haha cuase then i get scared...

oh and has anyone seen degrassi...its one of the old episodes..the one where paige gets raped..well in the begining when they are at the soccer game, manny does this thing..when she like..goes back and does this...flip thing..

she puts her hands on the floor..behind her and then she flips her legs and stuff..

well im also trying to do that..
has anyone tried doing that..

and u dont have to answer to this one..its only for the people that know what im talking about

Start legs together... arms straight out in front of you...

Bend your knees, and act like you are trying to sit in a chair(this will get your body weight behind you, aiding in you going backwards when you jump, instead of just up), arms swing down at this time

push/jump back, reaching arms overhead, look for ground (find it with your hands, not your head!)

"Whip" legs over head as hard as you can.

Land on ground in standing position

**Number 1 key to it... you CANT chicken out... when you do it, you have to do it... if you second guess yourself, your wont put enough spunk behind it to finish the flip***

ive tried it well u at least have to know how to do a back bend then have a strong dependable person help u and kick your right foot i think as hard as u can and dont look down look at where your feet was when u were in the back bend position then if u cant fully flip over have someone give u a push and when ur feet touch the ground pick up your head and also have something soft underneath you and some1 there to catch u and try to keep your legs straight and dont scrunch in a ball shape dont be too scared or you wont be able to flip over but be very careful and the person helping u has to be careful too i had the experience i kicked my teacher *sigh*

first try a slow back flip by doing a back bend the push the weight to your hands and bring your legs up and over. the try it again only faster. after that you should try a hand stand just for fun.

Have you had any acrobatic experience? You need to have a back handspring before you have a back flip.
