I just want to know how many feel that some answers seem suspicious and deceitful, or can we trust everybody's answers , especially to some websites.

I would NOT click on any links provided here...I have and have been caught up in a malicious endless loading of pages....had to reboot.
Basically, if the question is honest, I think the answers, by and large, are honest. IF the question is bashing, or nasty, they get a nasty reply from most. Sometimes a joke question is asked, so outrageous it is obviously a put on....those questions often get real replies (can't believe that people are so naive), but by and large, I think people here honestly want to help. Unfortunately, the age of many limits greatly their wisdom, and they give very limited or uninformed answers...that is the nature of the beast. IT is up to the asker to read and decide if any of it is a new idea for the problem. The answers, "read the bible" are worthless, and pat answers are usually too simple to be of much use. I do resent all the cutting and pasting here, a huge waste of space and time....IF I wanted what I already can look up (and usually have), I would not have asked for "experience in...." Good luck

Since the people on here are human beings like you and I, not everyone here is being honest with their answers, and some of the answers are the opposite of the truth.
How can you really trust anyone you don't know?
The answer is, you can't.
Trust takes lots of time and effort to build, not just a few questions and answers on a partially anonymous website.
Furthermore, you shouldn't worry about trusting the answers here or on any website like this; you just have to decipher how true or false they are.
On partially anonymous websites like this, it doesn't matter if the people are being honest with you, it only matters if they are telling you the truth, due to the simple fact that you can never know if a stranger is being honest.

Trust nothing you hear and nothing you see, especially on line. People are skilled at manipulating words to make even an innocent remark sound like a international plot.
If a statement feels wrong to you that's your intelligence ,listen to it and consider it as a warning not to believe it.I would hope people would be truthful and honest in their answers and questions but I know they are not all inclined to be that way. As for the web sites they will be biased to what ever and whom ever they are supporting .promoting.You are smart to question any and everything that doesn't quite ring true to your beliefs.
I am not saying you cannot learn on here I learn something new each time I come on here ,so keep a cautious but open mind.

Some of the answers are undoubtedly dishonest and it seems that sometimes this is done through malice and other times because the answerer is guessing or is ignorant of the subject on which they are trying to answer.

If the information is important or factual then it's always a good idea if the answerer can back it up with links to a reputable website or at the very least, quote where they got the information from.

I'd always be very wary of any specific advice to do with medical issues or the like and such info should only be used for general guidance.

There are some people who use this site for their own purposes, for example to try to drive people to their websites or in an attempt to sell products - avoid them is my advice.

I'm sure that many people give honest and informative answers. Also, there are those answers which are obviously intended as a joke or insult. As to whether others set out to deliberately deceive; you need to compare their answers with those of others and also any given links.

Many questions cannot gain a definitive answer as the information required is a request for opinion or guidance.

It would certainly be naive to trust everyone's answer unconditionally.

We were blessed with a brain of our own. Being open minded will allow you to see YOUR own truth. Truth is a perception not a fact in most cases.

Yahoo Answers gives us a voice to share opinions not truths. That's the big difference but that doesn't mean you won't meet a few dickheads along the way.

There are a lot of genuine people and then there are those who aren't but whatever or whoever it, is you still have the gift of common sense.

You don't have to agree with everyone but it would be stupid to think your views were always right and the only perspective. A wise man/woman is one who knows they don't know everything.

Mix and match, learn, accept, disagree... whatever.

There are quite a few obviously wrong answers posted here and elsewhere on the Internet. I have seen quite a few answers that were designed to cause physical harm to people and/or their hardware. Always try to get confirmation from multiple independent sources before following any advise you see here or elsewhere!
