It"s mounted just behind the gas tank. Lay on your back, slide under rear bumper and look up. It takes two open end wrenches to remove from gas line. I believe its a 5/8 for gas line 3/4 for filter or metric equivalent. If it's got original tank, you probably have to change it as well. The strainer bag is probably clogged on the fuel sending unit. If it is, scrap the tank! It will save you lots and lots of headaches. But any way that's were the filter is. Hope this helps Look in fill tube for rust in tank. Your not talking about a Chrystler are you? I am confused

first buick doesnt make the labaren or anything like that, they make the lesabre. its most likely fuel injected and the fuel filter will be in front of the tank, towards the front of the car, should be mounted on the cross member right in front of the tank and the wrench sizes he mentioned are correct

probably under the car somewhere near the gas tank unless it has a carburator then prob a fitting right in the front of carburator.

It is in the gas tank.Thats why the dealers charge soo much to replace it.
