It doesn't as you push against the floor it moves away from you very slightly.

You are lifting your body and moving away from the floor but the push also moves the whole of the Earth away from you by an amount equal to your weight divided by the Earth's weight by the length of the push up.

hmmm id say B because if the floor or gravity is pushing on you when you do a pushup then you could do a million pushups and never get tired. The floor could only pull on you or keep you in place thus making you tired eventually. It matters not what your doing the earths gravity is whats holding you down and prevents us from floating around. The fact that pushups require energy means that your resisting the pull from the earths gravity. You have energy to try and counteract gravity but it wont last forever like jumping rope or chinups or even holding your hands over you head eventually your energy will give in to gravity. Now if i dug a hole say 800 miles into the earth and set up a platform inside the hole so i could do my exercises down there i would probably die, but gravity wouldnt be as strong.

I go for a), because....
One of Newton's laws (the 4th?) says that every action causes a counter-action.
When you push yourself up, the floor should actually move downwards just the same, but because you had a reasonable builder for your house, the floor just doesn't go anywhere - noticeably. So, the floor doesn't really "push" you.....

c) upward, you push down on the floor, so it pushes upward. the force is always equal and opposite to the force exerted. its newtons 3rd law of motion.
