I would like to visit Tokyo Japan. However, I live in the UK and also have a fear of airplanes. How can I reach this destination by boat/ferry?

Go on a cargo ship, possibly via singapore, KL, or jakarta to Japan or Hong Kong. Arrange your trip through a specialist agent, this site may have info for you.

The long way round. Can you not just catch a boat to france and train it across? (obviously ferry/boat where necessary!)

You so crazy! That will take you forever. Just get on the plane and buy some of those little shots in tiny bottles. You'll be ok.

years ago you could travel on the commercial ships, with a very few passengers. The Geest Line (Bananas) used to.

try going down the atlantic ocean down under africa and along the indian ocean and up to Japan...Good luck...and Have fun.

I had a friend who was scared of flying so i suggested a boat.
I feel really guilty now as it sank.
