it's so stupid. don't get me wrong, i am so glad the 9 planes didn't go down, but isn't banning ALL liquid whatsoever a LITTLE extreme?

i agree nicky, it really sucked that we had to wait in security lines 4 2 hours, and unlike all these ppl answering ur question who DONt know you, i know ur a good person who just happens to be VERY impatient, and you DO care about the safety of our ppl. hey, but at least we're still alowed to bring liquid in our suitcases. 4 now at least! oh well. i know it WAS kind of messed up wen they wudn't even let the woman bring her baby food. ttly.

Well, yes and no. I've been anti-carry-on even before 2000. Too many inconsiderate !$%@!$ shoving stuff that doesn't fit in that over head compartment. And then the wait for those same knuckle heads unjam it to take it down when disembarking.
However, airport security and airlines need to assure and insure anything that leaves our hands and goes into luggage be accounted for!!!!!!!! To many times my girlfriends jewelry has been pawed through and there is always something missing. I know simple overnight any valuables to my destination. And think it's a good excuse to indulge in some shopping when you get somewhere. And who knows maybe the airlines will HAVE to bring back drinks and meals for free ;-)

Not at all. As Intelligence reports that the attacks were to be made using an explosive liquid it would be pretty irresponsible not to ban liquids wouldn't it?
