If you are male, would you date her?

If a girl didn’t shave, wax, or anything like that, and therefore had a normal amount of facial hair (upper lip and eyebrows) and normal about of body hair, how much of an effect would it have on dating or not dating her? If she was attractive otherwise - good hygiene, nice figure, pretty face, and if her personality compelled you or something like that, would you date her?

I was just curious, since shaving and such is entirely cultural, how many people take it very seriously in other people?

For females:

Also, how important is it to you, if you are female?

1. Could you live without shaving?
2. Are unshaven girls unattractive?
3. If nobody shaved and it wasn't required in society, would you still do it?

I shave everyday. I need to shave I hate hair on my legs, under my arms, etc. get the eyebrows waxed too. I think it is unattractive when women don't shave. Especially when a woman has a big hairy upper lip that's just gross! No offense I hope to people that have one, I just feel women should be soft and delicate for their partner be it a man or woman. Yes I would still shave if it wasn't required by society, I started shaving when I started getting leg hair and underarm hair and I won't stop. I will be using a razor in the nursing home.

hairy does not equal dirty
dirty equals dirty

I do not shave my arms, legs, or public hair
I have nice eyebrows and I dont have a mustache so i dont need to wax or tweeze.

I think that shaving is something the beauty industry has forced on women to create the illusion that it is more beautiful.

If a woman never shaved her legs and armpit hair would be so fine it wouldnt really matter.

We are mammals after all and hair is normal, AND is considered sexy in other cultures.

I think that if someone is SUPER hairy its not attractive but a normal amount of hair is fine.

I stopped shaving 2 years ago and I am quite happy. Some people find it a turn off, but most men really dont care. Plus hair helps trap the pheronomes which is good to attract that mate....but does no good if you cover it up with sprays, perfumes, and the like.

I dont wear any perfumes, and i use a natural deodorant.
You would be surprised how easy it is to attract a mate when they are attracted to your natural smell!

Our animal instincts do more for us than we realize.

thanks for the question! :)

I am female and notice that in alot of countries the women dont shave. In america however society tells us that we should shave, and this fad is now extending into the males as well.

Personally, I prefer a hairy manly man, not some wimpy looking stud. I bleach my facial hair, but otherwise dont shave but about once a month. As long as the rest of my hygeine is ok, and I dont smell, then I would prefer the natural look. My husband loves me for who I am, and doesnt have a problem with me not shaving.

I dont think that the fact that they dont shave makes them unattractive, if they are otherwise pretty and have a good personality then it doesnt matter to me.

If nobody shaved, I wouldnt shave. I prefer the natural look.

Men dont really understand how big of an upkeep shaving is. It causes itchy dry skin, and sometimes razor burn, and to buy the good razors is expensive. Some men dont shave their faces, because they dont have the time, yet scruntenize women for not wanting to shave, when they are having a bad day. or are a day late.

I personally do not like stubbles, they itch, and irritate me, when i try to sleep. and i dont like long hair on my legs either. Facial hair.. well, the more you remove it the more comes back, its best never to shave it, when you're younger, if you're older and have alot, and you dont like it, it's just the way you are.

I have fair skin, and light hair, so i do not have facial hair, or any other ungodly hair, but if i had darker hair, i would be more likely to want to shave it...

I like hairy guys, with facial hair, and stuff. so i dont mind if they dont shave.

If it wasn't required in socieity, and people didn't think it was gross to grow it out, i would still shave it for special occasions, or once a week...

Lol i feel dirty thinking about it, i guess society has me in the "you must shave" loop. :)

BUT at the same time, I understand that there are other cultures out there, that if you shave you're considered the local tramp, or there are villiages where they dont shave at all, and never did.

Stupid peopel think being hairy is dirty! thats like saying a monkey is filthy, just because it has hair.

IF you're a dirty person, then yes hair wil be dirty, but if you're clean you can have some pretty sheek leg hair ;)

I rea dsome of the comments above about having hair is a hygiene problem or that it's dirty, i understnad that, that is ignorance, simply because, MEN dont shave. so are they dirty?

YOU defeinantly made a point. But i would prefer shaving because it makes me feel more comfortable, physically, and like make up or doing your hair, it makes you feel good about yourself.

1. Yes I could, I've done it before. I shave more for myself, rather than I have to. My armpits smell worse when they're hairy and women's deodorant isn't that great, so I shave those in summer, but I get sort of lax about it in winter. Also, smooth legs feel really nice sometimes.

2. I don't think unshaven girls are unattractive. After all, that's how their body is naturally.

3. I might do it occasionally, just to get my thrill of smooth legs. I might not shave as often though.

It's mostly cosmetic and yes, depends on the culture you live in. Many European women, for instance, don't save their underarms or legs. I don't mind unshaven women but really hairy underarms are kind of yucky. I can live without shaving very often because I am not a hairy person. If nobody shaved, I probably wouldn't since it would be odd to do so.

Yes I could live without the WORRY of having to shave...especially in summer...because I KNOW that other women will be checking you out from head to toe...that is what society has come to and sometimes I hate being part of this gender....

Some girls are as hairy as a gorilla and that might be too much of a shock after all these hairless years.

If it wasn't required I probably wouldn't.

It's too bad we have become this "unnatural" in our appearance. In many cultures women and men don't give it a second thought and in fact I remember being on a beach in Europe and everyone was staring at me because I was the only shaven woman there!

I think it is very important. I could never stop shaving or waxing! I would feel dirty all the time! If a girl did'nt shave, I would not judge her. T o each there own! I definetly would still shave even if it became the norm not to, because I've already started.

I dont shave my leg's,i believe that God put it there for a reason(a good one is if a bug or spider is crawling on your legs, you can definitely FEEL IT when you have hairs on your legs).I do shave my pits for hygiene purposes, dont want to stink, and yes,i do also use deodorant.Shave my bush as well,to keep my hygiene nice and clean, and yes,i do bathe daily.I do these things because i WANT TO,could care less what fellas think of me or my appearance.
