Has nothing to do with colour. It has everything to do with personal choice, circumstance, belief, etc. Some people chose to have children early, others don't. Simple as that.

Not true. My husband and I are both white. We married at 18 and our first child was born when we were 19. Too many people to count told us that we were crazy for doing that, but 17 years later we are happier than anybody I know. It's true that most of my kids' classmates' parents are quite a bit older than my husband and I. Some people just aren't ready at such a young age and it's better for them if they wait. Lots of people, of all colors, have children before they are ready and that's never a good thing. It's about maturity and stability and that doesn't always have anything to do with age.

First off I'm gonna say you should word your question different cause that comes off HELLA RUDE. It has nothing to do with "white" people, i know plenty of hispanic, african american, and asian people who are in their late 20's and don't plan on having children till they are 30. Each person is different, may be that they are going through school, paying for things themselves, and want to be financially stable before bringing an expensive being into the world. maybe there are complications that keep them from getting pregnant. And so the F**K what if they were born after you. You act like you are better than everyone else because your parents are so much younger than everyone else.

I cannot believe you asked this question!!! Don't you find any irony in it?

Well, I am white and had my first at 30. It was the perfect age for me, my pregnancy went wonderfully and I am able to work just part time as my husband has a decent job. If I had done this in my 20s, things would not be great for us financially.

I get your point, though. The older you get the harder it gets. But, it's best not to have one until you're ready. Kids are a lot of work!

It is a cultural thing. (Though it probably shouldn't be) Some cultures pressure people to have children as soon as possible, and others pressure people to wait. But it shouldn't really matter what other people say anyway. What matters is the 2 individual people having the child and when they are ready.

my mom was 22 when she had me as well (we're white too lol!). i'm 20 and i'm ready to have kids as soon as my husband and i decide its the right time. we have the financial ability to have a child.. so now it's just when we think it's a good thing for the relationship.

Please don't make broad generalizations!
Many people delay having children until they have established themselves in the work force. Starting a home and a family is an expensive enveavor. Many wait until the can afford it, later in life.

I think that it is better to wait until you are stable before having children.People today have their children before they are even grown themselves. They struggle to make ends meet and then along comes another child, and another.People need to be prepared(emotionally,,materially, financially) before they plan a pregnancy
