Why do leftists so often apologize for Islamic terror when Islam represents the extreme-end of the right?

Islam is the farthest right any human can go. Take any issue and Muslims represent the extreme end of the right, yet leftists apologize for Islamists based on a "enemy of enemy" theory.

My experience is, when a leftist is well educated about Islam, they will have more contempt for it than a jew whose had his whole family killed by islamists.

I encourage all leftists to study Islam in depth...you will rue the day you uttered a single word of apology for it.

You got it backwards. The extremists of Islam is the result of the foreign policy of the religious right and neocons in the Middle east.

I think what leftist apologize about is what America did in Iraq in terms of Abeu ghreib and other human rights abuses in the prisons and elsewhere in Iraq.

Not to mention Guantanamo. Amnesty International and the United Nations have called the situation there "a human rights scandal" in a series of reports

You miss the fundamental point that Islam is a religion of peace. Just like Christianity.

And just like Christianity, they have some fanatics who betray those ideals and wage war in the name of their religion. The radical fanatics that become terrorist don't follow true Islam any more than the KKK or the Inquisition or Timothy McVeigh are representative of Christian ideals.

More and more people here in the UK are converting to Islam. They left their amoral worlds and want to live a life of peace.

They now know that secular governments are the scourge of the earth. The only way for all of us to enjoy peace is to accept Allah's will.

Government must be ruled by religion. The UK is beset for problems with money, alcohol, sex and drugs. Sharia law is the answer because people will be happier and women will be protected. Women in the UK are taught that it's okay not to have modesty. Islamic women are protected by their families.

The flag of Islam is ready to fly, here, and you will see how much better of this place will be.

There are so many Muslims in France and the UK. We are ready to make these 2 countries better off. The truth grows on a daily basis.

i do find it very peculiar that is the left that defends Palestinians and terrorists.Does the left realize they would be the first to get murdered and executed if Sharia law ever went into effect?
