If you have a Dell, hit CTRL+ALT+the down arrow. This should put it back to normal. If that just puts it in a different direction, try different arrows (in addition to the CTRL+ALT) until you get it right.

This will work if you have nvidea graphics (I am not sure what you have).
Right click on the light green coloured icon (looks like a small rectangle) on the bottom right. Since your screen is now vertical, it will appear on top right. Select "Rotation Options" and select 0^ or Default settings. It should work.

That happened to me once on my sister's Win PC. I THINK I had tried to change the Display/Appearance settings.
Click the little "display" widget on the right bottom of the screen, and, in the resulting window, set it back to default.

You might have enable Rotate display option in Display properties
Go to display properties..... uncheck rotation click mark...

Go to your graphics control and rotate it 90 degrees or if all else fails turn your monitor on its side...Don't mess with stuff unless you know what you are doing...
