Iran may have given a nuclear warhead to Hezbollah to use against Haifa, Israel. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has issued a warning for Muslims to evacuate from Haifa.
Ahmadinejad is the man to watch these days. Leaders of the Iranian hard-line regime, believe they have a direct line to God, and they'll do whatever 'divine inspiration' requires them to do. Talking to them is pointless. Ahmadinejad, whose proxy army Hezbollah is now waging war against Israel, has promised to respond to European and American demands to cease his country's illicit nuclear programs on August 22. On Tuesday he rejected a UN Security Council resolution that would give Iran until Aug. 31 to suspend uranium enrichment.
Lailat al Miraj (27 Rajab 1427, 22 August 2006)
On the Islamic calendar this date will be the 27th day of the month of Rajab of the year 1427.
The festival is celebrated by telling the story of how the Prophet Muhammad was visited by two archangels while he was asleep, who purified his heart and filled him with knowledge and faith.
According to Islamic tradition, the Prophet travelled from Mecca to Jerusalem in a single night on a strange winged creature called Buraq. From Jerusalem he ascended into heaven lighting up the skies over the holy city in his wake.
During his time in heaven Muhammad met the earlier prophets, and eventually God. He was told of the duty of Muslims to recite Salat (ritual prayer) five times a day.
The Shiite belief is that by causing the destruction of Israel, Al Mahdi, the 13th Imam, will re-appear (zuhur). Muslims also believe that at that time Jesus the Messiah (Messiah Iesa bin Maryam) will defeat the anti-Christ (ad-Dajaal.) There will be the war of Gog and Magog (Jooj and Majooj) and Judgment Day (Qiyahmah).
No one wins in a war. Property can be restored, but even a lifetime is not long enough to resolve grief over a lost loved one.
Since Muslims, Jews and Christians have messianic beliefs, maybe praying for the messiah to come and bring lasting peace before the world destroys itself would be a win-win-win solution

This date is suppose to coincide with something with Muhammed or Allah or some crap like that rising again and causing some world death & destruction. And I would suspect perhaps the terror groups would love to strike on this day for both symbolic purposes and it being so close to anniversary of Sept 11, but reality it would be very difficult for them. Most Countries are on Red Alert, and people are very suspicious now. I wouldn't worry about it.

I like that date. I know a lot of special people with that birthday (not the year). Although, I have heard nothing about this nuclear war. If it's true then there really is nothing we can do about it. Prepare to blow up people....I am kidding.

Gee, if that is true, then Katie Curic will never officially host the cbs evenng news........ Seriously, if that is true, there is nothing that we, individuals, can do about it. And living in fear only gives the bad guys a control over us that they don't deserve. So, the best thing we can do is just go about our lives. And if there is a real threat, then hopefully we will be told, and there will be something we can do to either change that fact OR prevent it from happening.

That is what I heard too, so enjoy the next 11 days. Quit your job, do all the crazy things you knew you shouldn't, and act like it is all over soon. Enjoy.
