plead your case

I am categorically in favor of receiving tokens for which there is nothing to exchange them. In other words, I am a proponent of engaging in what is meaningless...and since these points are essentially meaningless, I think that you should reward my efforts to accumulate valueless things.

It is sort of like nihilism, but not exactly.

In any event, it is the consciously willed act of vying for currency that has no value. Sort of like the Confederates paying people up North for food and supplies: The Confederate dollars, at some point, became worthless, and so the Confederates were exchanging what amounts to paper for goods that did have value. Everybody knew that the paper had no value in and of itself, but they still respected the fact that the Confederates *wanted* to pay...and this desire to pay for what was received was valuable enough.

Am I making sense? Making a good enough case? We all know the points mean nothing, and yet because some of us at least respect the effort to participate in this meaningless system of rating, we ourselves give some sort of ethereal meaning and value to the points.

Because I understand this and am therefore a responsible guardian of the points, I believe that I would be your best choice. You would be saying to me, "Here, have this valueless gift," and I would be saying back, "Why, thank you for the valueless gift. How very kind of you."

Never mind that the points are neither of ours to give or receive. But that is a whole other matter separately.

I think the 10 points would be a rather nice bonus for me, because your question just got me to the 4th level. But I'm not pleading my case, because I don't "game" for points.

I know I am not the most deserving, but I just reached level six and have gotten nothing from yahoo at all. I just made it like 4 hours ago, and still nothing. Those ten points would be a nice way to celebrate.

Think of it just like Bush's tax cuts for the rich.

I want the 10 points.
I give real thought to my answers most of the time, when it's a serious question.

I don't care, give them to the person who has the least amount of points... do buy fake flattery and sob stories... I don't really need them... just give them to the most needy person.

I deserve 10 points just because I am wonderful. I'm not vain, I am just confident and there is nothing wrong with confidence.
