how come alot of guys dont like to dance?

the guys at my school dances stand on the sidelines during the fast songs and the girls take over the dance floor and the guys only slow dance

why is this?

i liek to dance even though i don't really know how unless it's slow dance cause that is easy. when i go out clubbing at the teen clubs wid my friends (both guys and girls) They will introduce me to one of their girl friends and they show me how to dance you like get behind the chick and she wings back and forth and you follow her movements or something like that. i even dance at school dances to fast songs even though i dont know how to dance and i even danced wid you to a fast song lol i am a crazy kid and i don't care how ridiculous i look i like do have fun and be crazy! xD

There are two reasons, one which a lot of people have already answered, that lots of people are afraid to look funny if they don't feel confident moving their bodies in front of others. And the other is that you may notice the guys standing around the sidelines are all watching the girls dance! They are checking you out, deciding who they want to slow dance with.

Because a lot of guys thinks guy's look funny dancing. But the people I hang around practice dancing with us women so that when they get out on the dance floor they look good moving. So some need to practice more.

It's a guy thing especially at that age. Dancing is not seen as masculine and guys do not want to be seen as effeminate. When their closer to 18 hitting the clubs you'll see they are different. However it all stems with their insecurities about manhood and looking cool. Oh and guys who read this if your the only guy dancing you will have like 100 girls dancing with you so imagine how cool you will be after that, you'll earn major bragging rights.

Times have change girls are not that shy anymore. Although guys might feel embarassed to dance simply because they suck. They think they might look silly and ruin their rep. Instead they should gather up some courage and go out there they might find that 1 or 2 girls willing to come and dance with them. Some girls will think you are fun and feel attracted to you.

If you have two left feet - it's hard to dance. And some guys don't want to look like fools with a fast dance because they are too embarrassed to try !!!!!

you are able to visit the dance human beings wont think of of you as a third wheel because of the fact no one else is conscious that youre interior the team you are able to in basic terms dance and characteristic relaxing its okay to bop with a guy that has a date yet on condition that there no longer extremely that close and while there no longer dancing at the same time because you dont wanna commence drama lol

On a personal level, I love to dance. But other guys think that people will laugh at them because they feel that they can't dance as well as, say- Chris Brown.

Guys that get up and have a go at dancing are my hero's, where would Fred Astaire, or Ricki Martin be if they thought they looked silly and didn't give it a go, for all you knockers out there who are to big a coward to try leave all the others guys alone who want to give it a go, I know who the girls would prefer

I don't thing it's because the guys don't want to dance...I think it has to do more with what type of music they have to dance to...Bottom line most guys won't do something if they are not comfortable doing it..Try asking what type of music he is in to...When that type of music comes on ask him to dance...I can almost guarantee a better result...
