i hate it that she does it in the house. we both have a seperate lease so she thinks she has a right to do it. i have tried everything i can think of. i do not care what she does in her room but i do not want to smell it in the common area or my room. i do not like her boyfriend either.

Sounds like you need a new roommate.
I think the smell should be secondary to legal concerns.
Personally I believe it should be legalized but until that day (which will never happen) both of you should be concerned about the legal ramifications of smoking in your house.

Well, since you've already told her I suggest you just call the cops on her next time she doens't listen. Tryin telilng her one more time she doesn't follow through tell her u will call the cops. If you can try to move out if that is a feasible possiblity for you. Its hard sometimes to stand up for what you believe in, but you should because ull just get taken for granted. Go with your first instincts if you dont' like her bf there may be some danger to u or ur stuff in the place. Be smart move out, or clal the cops and get her kicked out and find a new roomie@!

I'd call the cops but make sure you don't tell her so she won't retaliate. You can always ask to be anonymous or go to the pd station and talk to a detective in private. Tell him whats going on and that you don't want that crap in your house. She'll probably only get a slap on the wrist but other than that I'd find a new room-mate or move.

did you know about her smoking before you moved in together , if you did it is your fault and should find a new place at your expense . if not simply tell her you are going to the manager to break your part of the lease because you are doing drugs

Are you doing something illegal also? I ask because I would've had the Police, or Landlord at the least, involved the first time I smelled it after I asked her to stop.

I would try to get out of the lease so you can move or try to get her to move. If all else fails report her to the authorities for drug use

Bring a video of her smoking to the cops. Tell them she is part of an international drug smuggling ring and is a mule.
