I have a small car that's almost 5 years old now. Hybrids are still expensive, and the extra stuff they put in adds so much weight, it wouldn't be worth it unless I did a lot of city driving. Maybe cities should use hybrid technology for buses and taxis.

Anyway, I've been recycling for more than 10 years now. I tend to pull things out of the trash my husband puts in, and put them in recycling. We actually need a larger recycling bin than our trash can we put out on the curb.

I also compost kitchen and yard scraps. I've been doing that more than 5 years now.

I buy things that last, and try to avoid stuff with excessive packaging whenever possible. Instead of throwing out old stuff, I take it to a thrift store. I vote for environmental candidates. I don't litter, and I remind my kids to put their trash in a pocket and wait for a trash can, rather than just drop it anywhere. My kids are almost as environmentally aware as I am.

Recycling makes use of up various skill in itself, so it extremely is high priced and not so reliable for the ambience. in elementary terms specific metals are of any actual value to industry. For the different stuff, you would be shocked to examine what number cities basically burn it. Plastic burns at an extremely extreme warmth, so it extremely is oftentimes basically dumped into an incinerator. And if something burns at a extreme warmth, it burns exceedingly sparkling.
