There's been a few times I have read someones question and read some answers. Some answers I have read are I don't know. Does that make you feel like that person just wants the 2 points for an answer. I'm sure I'll get some "I don't know" or "good question" on this one.

Well, if there were no points, I think many people would still be on here just for something to do and because they get something out of answering questions and trying to be helpful.
The points make it a bit of a competition, in a way, but actually I just search for questions in all types of categories and answer any that 'pop' out at me. I find it semi-addictive. I get emails from all kinds of people, mostly very nice ones.
It's another way of connecting with people, but the points aren't the main thing to me. Helpfing people is more the motivation for me. And I like to see how other people answers the same questions I do.

Is your actual question how many people are going just for points? well, I would say very few.
The points are fun and all, but what the heck do they DO?

LOL i find it funny people are being stupid here wasting precious time for points that get you NOTHING! Answers was designed to help people that had real questions im sure they didnt want any one to tell them "good question" well no duhh thats why they're asking it retards.
