even better you could tug on it, stretch it behind your head and then you can find out if your fella was lying when he said your bum didnt look big!

I think you could do that, but you would have to shut the other eye otherwise what you would see would be very confused. I remember playing cricket at school and a kid got hit with the bat and one of his eyes popped out. I don't recall him stopping to have a look what his face looked like though.

Would be very handy, but unfortunately no because the nerve bundle thing isn't long enough or stretchy enough to turn it around and I don't think that they do extension leads. You must use a mirror or a still pond or a camera or something like that.

Hehe, if the nerves were still attached you probably could. Now you reminded me of the movie "Hostel" where this girl gets her eye drilled out of it's socket...gross.

I know a good friend that this happened to , and the last thing you are thinking about is looking back at yourself !!
Now she still has vision problems and has wore glasses ever since this happened over 20 years ago !!!
It was Very Painfull , not to mention scary !!!!

This is one of the best, most thought provoking questions I have seen on Yahoo. I suppose if you could bear the pain, you might be able to get a glimpse of your own mug. Then again, seeing yourself in this manner might give you some sort of psychological problem. Also, if you could stretch your ears far enough, you could hear what others are saying about you.

Seriously, if your eyeball came out of its socket, you wouldn't want to do anything else except panic and go to the hospital.

how did u think up this question?
its quite a painful but provoking thought
it woul b interestign to look at your face, instead of always in teh mirror. it would b cool if you could look at hair to see if it was ok, and look at the back of you properly to see if you looked ok.
do you think your eye could reach into your mouth and look 2 c if you have cavities or not?
you could b your own dentist cool!!

it would be physically impossible to do that , I'm sure that you couldn't see at that moment. The eye is not attached, so there is no sight.
