Both computers use a windows operating system so you should have no problems.
1. Have you been doing backups on a regular basis?
2. Can you backup to cdrw disk?
3. Do you still have your original Quicken Disk?
If all of the above is true.
1. Back up your current quicken data
2. Use original Quicken Disk on New computer.
3. Restore quicken data from backup disk
otherwise:
Use a proggy called DiskCopy to copy from one computer hard disk to the other.
or:
Take your old hard disk out of the HP and put it in the Dell as a second hard drive.

Quicken saves your data files in a particular place, altogether - exactly where they are and the extension used depends on the version of Quicken you have. I'd suggest using "save us" while in the file on the HP computer, saving your Quicken files to a known place, then moving those files to the Dell computer. Reinstall Quicken on the Dell computer, open your Quicken data files, and you should have everything ready to go.

you onliy have to transfer your account files. Install quicken on the Dell computer then you just need to transfer the account files to the new program from the old computer. You usually gave them a name when you set up the account. It will be something like "yourname"savings or some different type of name. there is usually a sample file with the same file extentions in the directory also. You will find the directory usually under c"\Progam Files\Quicken
