Actually, yes, depending on the situation.
If she's not having a period because she's on birth control, it's likely because the birth control is repressing the ovulation- which is what it's designed to do.
However, if it's naturally occurring that she hasn't had a period in a few months, she could a) be pregnant already or b) have a medical condition that is blocking or repressing the shedding of the uterine lining, while still ovulating each month.
About a year ago, I went for four months without having a period. But when I finally did, it was long and painful, because I had still been ovulating and building the uterine lining each month- so four month's worth of menstruation came out at once.

Hey girl! It's me! Yes you can still ovulate without a period but you can't really track when you are ovulating exactly until your period comes.

most definitely.. i got pregnant after not having a period for 7 months... (it was quite a shock for my husband and i as we were getting ready to see a fertility doc) but yeah.. you can't really predict when you're ovulating since you have no periods to base it off of.. if you are trying to get pregnant your gyno can prescribe you a drug (totally forget the name right now) that can induce your period and then they can do a test on your ovaries and tubes to make sure they are functioning properly (this test also helps to increase fertility for a few months) good luck.. hope this all helps
