I'm not referring to the computer-type spelling such as - ur, or ppl, etc. It just seems as if so many of the questions and answers on this board have mispellings, are grammatically incorrect and are basically incoherent. What is going on - why can't people write? It makes people appear ignorant and it's a little scary how prevalent it is.

Because most of the people on here are minors - and not supposed to be here, I might add. They are pretty stupid, these days. I wasn't even a fraction that stupid when I was a teen.

Kind of a slam of the current education system isn't it? I myself am not particularly adept in English, however I do know the difference between there, their, and they're. Its surprising how few in here are. Indeed there are many who don't seem to realize there is a spell checker on this site.

A lot of questions are posted via SMS (cellphones or P2P devices); others are may be in a rush and throw grammatics out the window.

And some are zoned out on hard illegal drugs and/or are seriously ill mentally, too.

Yes, it amazes me too. A bit scary if those are the ones that will have to keep a country going in less than a decade...

I totally understand what you are saying, there are so many people on this site that can't spell or speak english properly and it makes me so mad.

maybe they are all from Texas.... or possibly they don't know how to use the check spelling thing right above your answer as you are typing it in...
