I don't know what the word is for psychic but it would be in the realm of pseudoscience. In other words, the scientific community at large simply doesn't believe in telepathy, clairvoyance, telekinesis, etc.

Psi is the neutral term used in most scientific study of psychic abilities. It is the 23rd letter of the Greek Alphabet and is pronounced ‘sigh’ Psi also refers to the Greek word “psyche” meaning soul or mind.

Kind of like asking what the scientific word is for alchemy or astrology - since it's not in the true realm of science, why would there be a scientific word for it? Why would you you want to try and ligitimize a hocus-pocus belief with a scientific term?

One who can tell the future is called precognative. The ability is precognition.

The ability to sense "stuff" from touching an object or person is called psychometry. People who do it are just called psychic.

A person who can move objects without touching them is called telekenetic.

A person who can read minds is telepathic.

A person who can see things far away is called clarivoyant.

A person who can start fires with their mind is pyrokenetic.

A person who can sense emotions is an empath.

That's all I can think of right now. Hope that helps!

psychics aren't a part of science so they therefore do not have a scientific word.... in my book anyway. Maybe you are thinking of clairvoyant.
