I remember one game when the opposing team came back by 14 runs to win it. Had the Mariners been able to hold the lead they would have set a new record that season. I guess that's baseball for you.

deliver Griffey to the Fountain of toddlers, deliver decrease back A-Rod, Buhner, Randy Johnson, and then upload a pair greater stud pitchers...Incidently, A-Rod, Buhner and Randy all could bypass to mentioned Fountain of toddlers and are available decrease back as 25 3 hundred and sixty 5 days olds...save Ichiro and King Felix around as they are the only respectable gamers on the present 40 guy roster...in all threat won't get to 116 (that replaced right into a fluke of nature), yet could desire to win the international series it extremely is plenty greater important.

I was in Seattle a couple of times that season, and I had the chance to watch them play. They were like a well-oiled machine, a team that had guys who could hit for average, enough power to drive in runs, and the league's best pitching staff. It was fun to watch them.
Unfortunately, once the playoffs came around, that Yankees' stuff shut them down pretty well.

ok but they came up short. The mets won 108 games in 1986 and came a strike away from losing to the bosox in 6. They they never gave up, everyone that batted after that thought to themselves Im not making the last out. That was a team.

Yep, I remember that. I was rooting for them to win that series. It was a shame to have a season like that and then not make it to the world series.
