I did them both some years ago... The sex-museum was a bit funny but also informative about some history in sex-industry, pornography and prostitution.
The marijuana-museum is interesting if you want know more about this drug, and surely if you want cultivate hennep yourself...
But I have to choose I should start with the Rijksmuseum ;-)

Wow, is there really a sex and marijuana museum? Where the h*** is it...I wanna go. Are they like in the same building, cuz it's seems the two usually do go hand and hand. I think it would be pretty interesting if there really is such a place. I read books about the history of both and I found it very intriguing. Especially the fact that marijuana was legal in the US right up until the end of the prohibition. They only made it illegal it to take the pressure off themselves for the insanely stupid mistake they made with the alcohol. They blamed the higher crime rates due to the prohibition on the increased amount of marijuana smokers (one vice always replaces another). Another amazing government screw up!! I'd say go for it. I'm sure if you're like me you probably spent money on a lot stupider things than a piece of history.

I thought the museum of sex was horrible. There is only three galleries and they all suck. The last one is probably the most interesting but it was really boring. On a scale of 1 - 10, I give it a 2. It was expensive to get into, also. Not worth it...save your cash and go to central park instead.
Madam Tussauds was fun, in my opinion.

Well, I don't know about the museum of marijuana (I don't take drugs!) but I've been to one of the Museums of Sex in Amsterdam and I found it rather disappointing. There are some wax dolls in some naughty positions, but the majority is some art like those indian small dolls in the kama sutra positions, and several old photos of the 30's, 40's, etc. A waste of money, really!

I enjoyed the sex museum. If you have someone to go with, it can be a...prelude. Otherwise, I could take or leave it.
I recommend the torture museum. Small but worth the price. I also thought the tour of Westerkerk (West Church) was really cool. If you go there, look for my sunglasses that I dropped off the top of the tower.

It's one of those tings you have to do cos you're there, and the sex museum is worth it just to see all the men walking about holding jackets etc conviently placed in front of them.

total tourist traps... if you want a fun, quirky museum try the FOAM art gallery or the Droog design gallery.
van gogh and rijks are also not to be missed
