when I was younger; nice guys were the ones who finished on top. Now days, a total jerk will win nine out of ten times. Yes, 90% of the time, nice guys come in last.

Why do you think nice guys always come last? Do you truly believe what the "bad boys" have is better than what you have?
You said you love your mother too much to be a bad boy. What you don't understand is that one reason these guys are "bad" is either bad parenting or an absence of parents. You have something they don't have. Loving parents.
By being a "nice guy," the good things you'll receive in life will last. For example. You know that "bad boy" with the really hot girlfriend? Their relationship won't last. It will fall apart and leave them both with heartbreak, and an inability to be stable in future relationships. By being a nice guy, when you get into a relationship, the girl won't learn to hate you for being a selfish pig, won't insult you and leave you, won't steal all your money, turn your children against you, and the list goes on.
Learn to be content with life and continue making good decisions. The grass may be greener on the other side of the fence, but when winter comes the snows will kill that grass. By being strong and stable, your whole life will be more peaceful.

You can't love your mother too much = you're having problems loving her? Or there is no such thing as giving her too much love & affection?
Nice guys don't finish last at all. They're the one the decent women end up marrying. The badboys are all in jail, unable to hold down jobs, or floating around. Nothing worse than a guy with kids buy a bunch of different women (and generally never marrying any of them)

I think that, because a lot of people don't feel secure with themselves, they would feel overwhelmed and not worthy in a way by somebody is nice to them all the time. Also, looking at your other questions, you seem like an intelligent person. Sadly, intelligence can be overwhelming to some people as well.
Also, some nice, intelligent people can appear unsure of themselves, a bit 'bumbling', whereas more direct people cut through any doubts the other person may have.
It's not a fair system but, stay nice because others do actually notice niceness- you just need to be a bit more direct in some situations so others know what you really want from a situation and look people in the eye.
I speak as someone who needs to apply these same rules.
Those bad boys often aren't as happy as they appear to be.

Well, I'm no expert, but it seems like your a nice guy. If you love your mother too much, it's gonna be a good sign, it means your gonna make a good father one day. Not saying that you're thinking that far ahead, or that you're even concerned about these matters, but don't be afraid to give it some thought, it might help you with what you are after. Oh, and just to let you know...Nice guys are the bad boys :) And by the way, I'm straight...just wanted to make that clear.

Why would you like to be a badboy? You can be whatever you want. Girls actually go for the sweet, charming guy. Don't try to change just to let people like you!! =) Be what you are. Even if you seem tough, as long as you have a great heart, girls would really want you!

You sound like a real nice fellow. But, a little advice, Let go of the Mother a little. Women can since if you are still to attached. This is not attractive to a woman. She wants you to be independent and take care of her. Be strong. You cant be strong when the Mother is in front of you.

Nice guys finish last, because when the bad boys are taken first, they're dropped because of how rotten they are and nice guys end up being picked up later.
Picture an apple tree. A really high apple tree. The bad boys are at the bottom, and the nice guys at the top. Women tend to reach for what is easier and get the bad boys [apples from the bottom] first. Then finally, when there are no good apples left at the bottom, eventually the good apples are reached for when women realize how stupid they were.
lol. Odd, but do you understand?
I'm one of the girls who picked the good apples. :)

Tiger Woods is a nice Guy; and he won the British Open (and has the cutest babe; and has millions in endorsements).
Dennis Rodman is a bad boy: look where he's at: overweight and pretty much broke because anyone over 40 who wears tattoos, has blue hair, and has 20 piercings in the lip just is NOT taken seriously.

How would we know if he is the last first we just fall in loved because of thinking that he is nice then all of a sudden we have to give them up coz we were wrong......What I mean is you cannot guarantie of again the next guy is a nice guy so there is no last What we have to do is make the best and work it out.....
