Think about it.... if the TSA was really serious about finding explosives why were they just tossing grannys denture cream into a garbage can.
That stuff should have been treated as HAZMAT.

I think it was a draw, they didn't blow up anything but they sure screwed up a bunch of peoples travel plans.I wonder what the airports do with all the stuff people aren't allowed to board a plane with?

A better question would be ...'Was this all a diversion tactic by our warmongering government from the genocide and bombardment of Lebanon. It did after all take Lebanon and Iraq off the front pages.
Until they are found guilty do we really know if they are 'terrorists' or has this all been a massive disruption for passsenger and a major pr coup for those in bed with the arms industry and an interest in ongoing conflict.

No people are still going on with their lives and 21 terrorists are off the streets. Also we now see some vulnerabilities. A chain is only as strong as the weakest link. We have put a new link on the chain.

Peroxide based explosives can be made up with off the shelf ingredients.
Peroxide...acetone....
And somewhat harder to procure...sulfuric acid...
re grannies....tend to agree with you somewhat there.Maybe we should adopt the Israelis method of screening which includes the big bugaboo...PROFILING.
But...with the British authorities determining the attack was imminent, and that the plan was to bring down at least ten airliners over the open ocean from cruising altitude, the response from authorities was justified.

you see the iorny of it all . we dumped and or tossed out i would say over a million dollars of creams deodorants and sodas yesterday all in an effort to stop the un-stopable .
Planes burned fuel , police cars and vans driven to airports .people mobilized all over america to protect against a plot that had not even reached the stage where they had prepared to meet there own deaths .
NONE of the ritual cleansing or preperation had taken place among the people arrested yesterday in Brtian .
THIS war is so political in nature it is not funny .GOING on alert wastes millions of dollars and in the end will never prevent terrorism . YOU must pull it out by the root or all messures are a waste of time .

The terrorists won because they got what they were trying to accomplish.
Waves of fear, and disruption of our way of life. They don't have to actually blow up planes to win. They just have to get our own governments to clamp down, one thing at a time, until are lives are no better than theirs.
