Doesn't have to be high-quality, most things I print are going to be black&white, and I don't want to spend a lot initially or on refilling ink cartridges. Can you reccommend one?

I don't mind buying one that's not the cheapest, but I'm not spending more than about $80. So I guess I should ask, which one(s) in that price category have the best deals on ink?

I'd suggest calling/emailing Klassic Specialties, they are my ink vendor. They will tell you how much your INK will cost (they are the cheapest & very nice people.) www.klassicspecialties.com is their site. For instance, Epson ink is about $14.00...the same ink for my Epson at Klassic Specialties is about $5.00. Good quality, too! I've used TONS of ink, and never had a problem.

Don't buy one based on initial cost, because usually they will get you on the ink. Lexmark is notorious for that....they give you a great deal on the printer, but you have to buy REALLY EXPENSIVE INK for it, so it's really not cost-effective to use it.

I have a Brother MFC 5840CN that I like....Sheet feed scanner, flatbed scanner, printer, fax, card reader, etc. It was about $260. You might not need all that, however.

Be smart about it....if the ink is going to cost a ton every time, you WON'T use it, and it's a waste. Do a bit of research!

Also, a great site for all purchases, once you know what you want, is www.pricegrabber.com. It will give you a list of vendors and prices for any item you search for. Great site!
Good luck.

there isn't any such component as "low priced printer ink". Kodak made a gigantic push final 3 hundred and sixty 5 days with their new line of printers that claimed to have greater much less high priced ink. And sure, its real, it does have low priced ink, however the printer is costly. additionally, all the comments i've got study (each and each website, via ways) say the Kodak has substandard low high quality prints, and breaks certainly. i take advantage of a low priced 40 greenback Canon multi functional printer i offered from Walmart, it does photograph's enormously plenty, and the ink is obtainable at any workplace save or Walmart.

Wal-Mart has a Lexmark All-In-One printer/scanner/copier for $39.95. I have a Lexmark printer which cost much more and it's actually a decent printer. Go to http://Walmart.com to see it.
