Well, either you have to just wait until you're off your period before swimming again (if you swim while on your period it will make the pool gross for you and everyone else.) Or you have to start learning how to use tampons, because it is quite okay to swim as long as you are wearing a tampon.

You don't need to wear a tampon to swim, in fact possibly better if you don't given the risks of tampons to begin with, before taking into account possible risks from getting pool water absorbed into your vagina – it would also mean prone to leaking.
You can use pretty much anything else, menstrual cups are of course the best option because they are internal, don't show anything on the outside, safe, easy to use and they don't leak, but other options would be pads with some shorts over the top – cloth pads best as commercial or organic pads will get mushy and the glue would come unstuck.

Don't swim without a tampon, and if you're going to start using tampons, be very careful of Toxic Shock Syndrome.

You don't swim if you don't use a tampon. If you try swimming in a pad, it will swell up the same way a baby's diaper does when it gets wet. If you use nothing while in the water, you will contaminate the water with your blood! and that would be gross!

Deal with tampons, or don't go in the water when you're on the rag, OR just be the gross girl swimming in red water!

That was one of the biggest selling point that
Tampax useds right after tampons started being advertised on TV back in the 70's. YOu could be more active using a tampon than you could a pad.
And it is still true today....

I think you have to use a tampon, or either, you won't be swimming.
