No you just don't like mindless natter. Especially shouted at the top of your voice in bars. You need something like a book group where you can have an intelligent conversation.

You are destined to become a recluse if you allow it to happen. You are not alone, I have trouble socialising too. First of all, you will never be alone you will always have your family. I wish that I could say these words and you'd be fixed but it don't work like that.
You need to work out who and what you like before you do anything else. The fact you ask these questions shows you need to contact people, you just need to find a way to convert it into the real world. You say you don't like meeting new people but new people can become old friends very quickly.
If you ever want people to talk to then I am right here to do so. Meeting people is hard work but, like all things, gets easier with practice. Hope thhat makes sense.

hey!!!perhaps..not socialising is not normal....don't be an introvert go out breathe the fresh air outside ..don't restrict urself within the 4 walls of the house?!! increase ur friend circle....atleast spend ur time with small kids (where u'll not be required to explain things)...or u can hv a pet dog!they r so much fun..there r various ways to express feelings...bt don't keep it with u..just spill it!!! n remember human is a SOCIAL ANIMAL....to socialise is its religion...go out n hv fun...not necessarily in noisy bars there r many other places to hang out...which peace u n ur mind!!!! socialising doesn't only means to explain ur self rather u can be 1 of those who brain strom others n take them to end of their wits!!!

I am the EXACT same way. You are probably like this because you are a very private person. You don't really like to reveal yourself to others in public, or anywhere at all. It is VERY normal. Some people are just like that, like me. I hate meeting new people and telling them about myself because I am a very private person. It's okay to be that way.

You are fine. Everybody has a combination of "social" and solitude needs. Enjoy who you are. If you become totally detached from the social world, then you might need help. But from what you've told us so far, you just are just a very private person who needs solitude.

Sounds like you're a little shy. There are other ways of socialising other than clubs. Look them up.

there are more people out there, that are just like you, so don't think your not normal. you are more normal than most, i can tell by the straight forward question. I feel just as you do. I don't like bars either, i hang out here, answering questions.

i don't know if it is destiny, but i feel the same way. i don't have to explane my self cause i live in a small town where everyone thinks thay know me,anyway my problem is thay treat me as if thay do know me and are pissed when i don't like what thay think i should. so i don't like to socialize. i just hang with the few people that do get me, and patronize those that don't.if i have to be around them.
