Go search for Spybot S&D on the web and install version 1.4 It is a very good spybot progam that is free (although if you like it I would make a small donation to the guy. He's worked very hard to make it available). It not only removes spyware but it also writes the sites that distribute spyware to your browser restricted site access file so that your computer can not recieve or go to any of the sites where the spybots orginte from.
